Sections: 12. 02.010 Building and construction and development requirements. A. The city engineer shall administratively adopt style and building and construction requirements that shall apply to all brand-new construction or reconstruction. At a minimum, the city engineer will embrace the most current edition of the following: 1. City of Poulsbo Standards and Specifications, published by the city of Poulsbo; 2.
Requirements for Sewage Functions Design, released by the Washington State Department of Ecology; 4. The Low Impact Advancement Assistance Handbook, a Practical Guide to Cover Execution in Kitsap County, released by the Kitsap House Builders Foundation; 5. Design Handbook, published by the Washington State Department of Transport; 6. Basic Requirements for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Building, published by the Washington State Department of Transport; 7.
AWWA Standards, published by the American Water Works Association. B. The city engineer's adoption and amendment of a list of suitable design and building and construction standards will be in composing and will be filed in the workplace of the city engineer. All such design and building and construction requirements shall be either expertly or nationally recognized or shall have been previously adopted by the city of Poulsbo.
C. When it comes to any conflict between the requirements adopted by the city engineer pursuant to subsection A of this area, the more restrictive standard will use as identified by the city engineer. D. All building and reconstruction will comply with the standards identified in subsection A of this area, unless variations or exemption to these requirements have been specifically authorized by the city council.
E. The requirements that are identified in this section are not to be construed as limiting the authority of the city of Poulsbo and its officials granted by any other ordinance, statutory provision or other law. JCM Construction INC of Poulsbo and its authorities maintain the authority to use any style or construction requirements not adopted by the city engineer if otherwise licensed to do so.
